Brian Center Health and Rehab started a program over 3 years ago to honor those Resident Care Specialists (RCS) that go above and beyond in their care of our residents.
The program is called the Care Connection Council. 60 RCS from over 180 facilities were selected to be a part of the Council. Being a member of the council includes a trip to Atlanta to attend a conference full of fun and continuing education, monthly conference calls to discuss improvements to care of our residents, and 25,000 Care Connection points which are redeemable for gifts and prizes.
The 2013-2014 Care Connection Council members were just announced, and our own Lashana Miller was selected! Lashana has been a CNA for over 12 years, and she has worked for Brian Center Health and Rehab – Durham for about 18 months. She has a wonderful attitude, and she always goes above and beyond to provide attentive, loving care to our residents, including coming in on her time off to braid a resident’s hair. We are excited to announce this honor for Lashana, and we look forward to hearing all of the wonderful things she will learn and share with us while on the Council!
